I spoke with Martine on the phone briefly and then met her for lunch and immediately was drawn to her. I shared with her my story; a single girl, never married, feeling called to adoption, worried and scared that a birth mother would never choose a single girl like me to be “Mom.” Martine’s quote to me at that moment, “If you work with me, I feel strongly you will have a baby in a year.” Ten months later, my son was born. Martine is a joy to know and to walk this process with. She’s thoughtful, encouraging, knowledgeable, realistic and just cares so deeply. When talking to couples hoping to adopt, I only recommend A Bundle of Joy. Martine was amazing to work with. As an future adoptive mom trying to navigate the adoption process (which at times seems like try to navigate through muddy water) Martine was patient and helpful in answering our many questions. We started the adoption process by completing our homestudy in late December of 2009. After tons of research we decided it wasn’t the best idea to work with just one agency. So instead, we started looking into Adoption Referral Agencies. After researching and phone conferencing, we decided to start working with A Bundle of Joy Adoption Referral Service. Only 3 weeks later, we were presented with our adoption opportunity of twins! A baby boy and a baby girl born the day prior! We adopted our beautiful little girl Liliana Paige just four months ago. She was born 
three months early and is now a healthy baby at 12 lbs. Being parents has been the most amazing gift. I had to have a hysterectomy at age 28 due to a very painful disease. Now just five months after my surgery I am a very happy mother. God is so good and I lift you all up as you go along your own adoption journey. When I found the adoption “opportunity” on July 13th, I immediately text my husband “I want this baby”. He happened to be stuck at the airport all day. So after months of paperwork I’d done to prep us for adoption, he was really able to jump in a get a taste as he made the calls and emails for our family to Martine at A Bundle of Joy. God makes Beauty from Ashes. Martine kept us informed and encouraged as we waited and waited and waited. On August 1st I received the most wonderful 3-way phone call from Martine and my husband, that the birthmother had chosen us to parent her beautiful baby girl.
